We’re absolutely obsessed with this floral and tropical bar and restaurant in Ironmarket.

As you walk in you’ll enter a paradise of stunning floral décor, leather booths and neon signs which make for the best Insta pics.

Whether it’s going for a few drinks after uni with friends or doing a bottomless brunch on the weekend, this venue has you covered.

You can enjoy some extravagant signature cocktails with friends like their ‘Let That Mango’ with white rum, Dead Man’s fingers mango rum, mango juice, lime juice and mango puree.

Or, go for a ‘Purple Haze’ with crème de violette, Brockman’s gin, blackcurrant cordial, lime juice, sugar syrup and elderflower. Expect smoke, bubbles and crazy glasses!

If you’re scrapped for things to do in Newcastle-under-Lyme, take a trip to the award-winning New Vic Theatre.

Who doesn’t love a trip to the theatre especially in the lead up to the festive season? We sure do!

Having opened in 1986 as Europe’s first purpose-built theatre-in-the-round, the New Vic is a 600-seater capacity entertainment venue which you simply must visit.

Situated in the heart of town, the annual programme here features a variety of events from drama productions to comedy nights to music concerts to exhibitions.

Their events line-up for Autumn includes Alice in Wonderland, Shakers and Eric’s Christmas Turkey.

The Clubhouse is super impressive when it comes to things to do in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

This fun-packed venue situated in Lymelight Boulevard is the home for indoor gaming and friendly competition with their crazy golf, computer games room, table tennis, beer pong, shuffleboard, cornhole and much more.

The 18-hole crazy golf course is our tee-riffic (get it?) there’s even UV holes, a Windmill, Loop de Loop and a DJ Booth!

If you’re feeling hungry after letting out all that energy gaming then try some of their comfort-food dishes like loaded fries, chicken strips and pizza.

There’s also a bar area serving up some alcoholic and non-alcoholic bevvies like Draught Beer, Craft Beers, Slushies and homemade Milkshakes.

It’s the perfect Saturday activity, and a great opportunity to bond with your new friends.

5. Have A Meal At Pasta Di Piazza

If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a tasty meal whether it’s a date with friends or your significant other, then Pasta di Piazza needs to be on your list.

This authentic Italian restaurant located on High Street, is a firm favourite amongst locals and students, and for good reason!

Our go-to is their Pollo Speziato with Cajun spiced chicken, onions, peppadew chilies, mozzarella and tomato.

Be prepared for a barrel of laughs at this comedy venue inside Lymelight Boulevard.

Showcasing comedians, international acts and TV names you can sit and chill in the comfortable seating, make the most of the food and drinks and even enjoy the VIP service whilst watching a show.

The drinks are literally delivered to your seat!

Shows take place every Friday and Saturday night with national and international comedians performing live on stage, along with the resident host, Cokey Falkow.

7. Take A Trip To Apedale Community Country Park

The weather might be getting colder but there’s nothing like a walk in the countryside to clear your might, right?

Apedale Community Country Park offers 454-acres of green spaces to stroll around and is only a short bus ride or car journey from the town centre.

Once an Open Cast mining site, this landscape is now home to a range of wildlife, woodland and meadows, along with a memorial Pit Wheel for the mine workers of Staffordshire.

There’s even a light railway where you can take a train ride, as well as an interesting museum and café for you to grab a quick bite to eat or a hot drink during the Autumn months.

The landscape here really makes for a peaceful walk, and you’ll probably encounter some adorable four-legged friends!

Put your skills to the test at the Break Free Escape Room with 5 different rooms to choose from, along with challenging puzzles, unique themes and a fun-filled experience.

Depending on which themed room you and your team (between 3-5 people) decide upon, you’ll be locked inside for 60 minutes whilst trying to figure out how to escape from the clues, trap doors, riddles and hidden items inside – bit eerie, eh?

We must say, it’s not the cheapest of things to do in Newcastle-under-Lyme but it’s certainly enjoyable.
